1. Explore New Apps -

• You will have three opportunities to explore as many apps as you can in the chosen area.

• Discuss ideas regarding how the app can be aligned to curriculum standards and integrated into your learning and teaching.

• Jot down some of the ideas in your notes app.

• Round 1, Round 2, Round 3

  • In each round, you will have 30 minutes total (20 minutes to explore and 10 minutes to discuss) to download, explore, and discuss in your group. Then you will choose another subject area and repeat this process. You will repeat this process of exploration and discussion opportunities.

2. After Each Round

• Tap on After Round 1 in the menu for your instructions.

• Regroup

• Tap on After Round 3 in the menu for your instructions.

3. Educational integration of apps

• Rethink the iPad's place in learning and teaching. Remember, it is not about the tool (iPad) not the app but what the student learns in the process. Review Bloom's revised taxonomy by viewing the links below.

• Collaborate in groups or pairs to generate ideas on how a variety of multiple apps can be integrated in one or more activities.

4. Create an "Apptivity"

• Add your apptivity to the form.

• The apptivities you create might give someone else an idea.

• At which action verb from the Bloom's taxonomy images were students participating in your apptivity operating?

• What standard is your apptivity addressing?

• Contribute to the Add an App form
